☀️ Good News (Neurodivergent Edition) — July 2026

Less doomscrolling. More good brain stuff. Here’s what made us smile this month.
🎵 SZA shares that she's autistic
Grammy-winning superstar SZA publicly shared that she's autistic — adding another huge voice to the growing number of women talking openly about neurodivergence.
At 36, she described finally understanding herself through an autism lens.
Another successful, creative woman proving there isn't one way autism “looks”.
Representation matters. And this one's BIG. 💛
🎤 Elle King: “Everything makes so much sense now”
Singer Elle King also opened up about receiving an autism diagnosis.
Her reaction will sound familiar to approximately every late-diagnosed person ever:
Suddenly, her life made more sense.
She's now focusing on creating safer boundaries, surrounding herself with people she feels comfortable with and doing more of what brings her joy.
We can get behind that. 🙌
💛 Frankie Bridge gets her ADHD answer
Former Saturdays singer and Loose Women presenter Frankie Bridge revealed she's been diagnosed with ADHD at 37.
Fellow Loose Women star Denise Welch encouraged her to explore it after explaining how much her own diagnosis had changed things.
Frankie hopes this might be another “missing piece” after years of struggling with anxiety and depression.
Women helping women understand their brains?
YES. 👏
🧠 Maybe we need to rethink the boxes altogether...
A huge UK study suggested we may understand neurodevelopment better as a spectrum of overlapping traits, rather than always looking at autism, ADHD and other conditions completely separately.
The researchers found substantial overlap between different neurodevelopmental traits.
Basically...
Brains continue to refuse to fit neatly into boxes.
AuDHD people everywhere: shocking. 😂
🏛️ ADHD, autism + dyslexia joined forces
For the first time, UK parliamentary groups for ADHD, autism and dyslexia came together to discuss neurodivergent young people's mental health.
One particularly important message came out of it:
Poor mental health isn't an inevitable part of being neurodivergent — environments that fail to understand and support different brains can play a huge role.
Now THAT is a conversation worth having.
🌶️ JULY'S VERDICT
SZA. Elle King. Frankie Bridge. Better research. Neurodivergent conditions finally being discussed together rather than in separate little boxes.
July was VERY neurospicy. 🌶️
See you in August for another dose of good brain news.
Because normal is overrated.
NOT DONE SCROLLING? 🌶️
