☀️ Good News (Neurodivergent Edition) — August 2026

Less doomscrolling. More good brain stuff. Here’s what made us smile this month.
🎤 Robbie Williams joins the AuDHD club
Robbie Williams revealed he's been diagnosed with autism at 52, having previously spoken openly about his ADHD.
And his reaction?
It “explains so much.”
Possibly the three most relatable words in late-diagnosis history. 😂
Another massive household name talking openly about neurodivergence — and showing that sometimes the answers don't arrive until decades later.
Welcome to the neurospicy club, Robbie. 🌶️
🧬 Think you might be ADHD or autistic? Science says... you might know yourself pretty well
This one is VERY interesting.
Cambridge researchers looked at adults who suspected they were autistic or had ADHD but hadn't received a formal diagnosis.
They found those groups showed corresponding genetic patterns associated with the conditions.
Basically, that years-long feeling of:
“I think my brain works like this...”
might be worth listening to.
Knowing yourself counts for something. 🙌
🧠 Autism research is finally growing up
Autism research has historically focused heavily on children.
But a new collection of research published this month put the spotlight firmly on autistic teenagers and adults — looking at autism as what it actually is:
lifelong.
Because autistic children don't disappear.
They become autistic adults.
Funny how that works. 😂
📱 Tech is getting better at seeing the whole picture
New research explored using digital technology to understand autistic children's behaviour — including children who also have ADHD.
Why does that matter?
Because neurodivergent people don't always arrive with one tidy diagnosis and nothing else going on.
Research that acknowledges overlapping neurodivergence instead of pretending every brain fits neatly into one box?
Yes please. 👏
🌶️ AUGUST'S VERDICT
Robbie Williams joining the AuDHD gang. Self-understanding getting some scientific backup. Adult autism finally getting more attention. Research recognising overlapping brains.
August said: maybe listen to neurodivergent people about their own brains.
We approve.
See you in September for another dose of good brain news.
Because normal is overrated.
NOT DONE SCROLLING? 🌶️
There's more where that came from — relatable reads, life hacks, good news and things made for brains that don't do ordinary.
